Evaluation Criteria (From FY 2018)

Evaluation criteria consists of “A. Establishment of business objectives and strategies and top management’s leadership”, “B. Suitable utilization and implementation of TQM” and “C. Effects of TQM” as in the below chart. Organization that meets the qualifying standards will pass the examination.

Note) Here, items and points of “III. Suitable utilization and implementation of TQM for the realization of business objectives and strategies” is a criterion for examination. During the examination, they may be changed by the Deming Prize Committee depending on the management philosophy, type of industry, business scale and business environment of applicant organization as well as the business objectives and strategies formulated by based on them by the applicant organization.

First Announcement (Nov. 4, 2016)

We would like to inform that the Deming Prize Committee is going to revise the Deming Evaluation Criteria which is being used at the Deming Prize/Deming Grand Prize examination. Examinations in and after 2018 will be carried out based on the renewed Evaluation Criteria. Please refer the brochure below for the details.
