The Study group “JAPAN STUDY MISSION 2025” from a UK Management Education Institute visited Japan.
Following the last year, JUSE hosted the study group from UK upon the request from HUTCHINS INTERNATIONAL QUALITY COLLEGE and GLOBAL EXCELLENCE TEAM, both renowned institutions in the field of management education.
The study group participated in a seminar on Total Quality Management (TQM) and visited the sites of leading Japanese companies known for their high standards of quality management during the period from May 26 (Mon) to June 4 (Wed).
During the site visits, participants expressed that the experience exceeded their expectations. They praised the advanced initiatives implemented by Japanese organizations and were especially impressed by the cleanliness and orderliness of the shop floors, where 5S is thoughtfully implemented. Seeing tangible results of TQM promotion greatly motivated the participants.
They also expressed deep appreciation for the thoughtful attentiveness of each organization and were truly impressed by the spirit of Japanese omotenashi (hospitality).
We sincerely hope that the members of the study group will make the most of their experiences in Japan in their future endeavors, and we wish them continued success.
